Government Arts and Science College has been started on 2013 by the Tamil Nadu Government.

Government Arts and Science College, Hosur is situated at about 2km from Hosur Railway station and 4km from bus stand. The campus is spread over 5.33 acres of land, economically used for college, play ground, Gardens.

The College today has a student strength about 1500 with 11 departments.
